Opening Reception at Gallery 9th Art in Montmartre Nov. 21

The 2-week gallery exhibition, Nov. 21-Dec. 7, at Gallery 9th Art featured Doug and Frank Cho's work; the opening reception, Nov. 21, started at 6 p.m.

Marie-Claire Michel, Sales & Marketing Manager Fine Art Papers/Arches of France, talks with Doug and Frank about the company's papers; the Arches plant in Lorraine, France has been in business since 1492 and currently employes nearly 500 employees.

2014 marks Doug's 50th anniversary as a full-page color cartoonist under contract with Playboy; he's rendered nearly 500 cartoons - ALL done using Arches of France cold press papers.

Doug enjoyed meeting Marie-Claire during the opening reception - he naturally praised the merits of Arches; she thanked him for 50 years of loyalty to the product.

A fan of Doug's work brought in a copy of The Art of Doug Sneyd so Doug could personalize it during the opening reception.  Bernard Mahe (seated), owner of Gallery 9th Art, checked the online exhibition throughout the evening.
