Tuesday, July 22 - Setting Up Booths for Wednesday's Opening Night at the 40th Annual Comic-Con

Doug (right) left Toronto Tuesday, July 22, on a 6:35 a.m. United flight so he could meet with (center) Steve Morger Tuesday afternoon at the San Diego convention center and get his booth set up for the Wednesday, July 23, opening night. This is the third year that Doug has exhibited with Steve's company, Big Wow Art.

Tuesday afternoon is hectic at the convention center as equipment moves from one aisle to the next in an effort to get the exhibits finished for Wednesday's 6 p.m. opening. Once Doug's banner is hung, (from left) Steve Morger and Doug turn their attention to moving boxes of books.

On his way to pick up some books for the booth, Doug checks out the Lego exhibit.

Comic-Con typically draws 125,000 movie, TV and comic book fans to the annual 5-day event in San Diego; Dark Horse Comics is one of several major publishers participating in North America's largest pop culture convention.

Although there's a lot of work to do at the Dark Horse exhibit before opening night, (l-r) Scott Allie, editor, and David Scroggy, Vice-President of Product Development, take a minute to talk with Doug.

Like Doug, fellow Playboy cartoonist Dean Yeagle and wife Barbara set up their booth Tuesday afternoon.

But where are the rest of the pictures? I'm sure you took a ton but there were a couple of us Disney peeps with Doug that were top notch, in my opinion! Hahah

It was an honor meeting the both of you and I'm sure we'll see each other again soon!
Take care!

I took nearly 500 photos at Comic-Con and will post them daily - 3 to 6 per day - for nearly 3 months so check Doug's blog from time-to-time.

Doug and I had a great time talking to so many interesting people.
