Pensacola Bay Center Hosts 3-Day Pensacon

Pensacola, Florida residents and businesses have supported the efforts of Mike Ensley, Pensacon's chairman and CEO, in bringing a unique, fun 3-day event to Northwest Florida.

In 3 years, attendance has steadily grown to 30,000+ checking out booths at the Pensacola Bay Center and attending panels, workshops, contests, film screenings, etc. at the Crowne Plaza Pensacola Grand, both the Saenger and Rex theatres and restaurants in the Palafox Place "entertainment district."

The Pensacola Bay Center is an indoor arena multi-use property hosting:

• a professional ice hockey team (the Pensacola Ice Flyers)

• concerts (Elton John, Barry Manilow, KISS, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, etc.)

• political rallies (Republican candidate Donald Trump January 2016, Republican Presidential  nominee Mitt Romney November 2012 and President George W. Bush 2006, etc.)

The airport also joined in the fun this year by temporarily renaming itself Pensacola Intergalactic Airport to promote Pensacon.  (A banner publicizing the renamed airport was also at the Pensacola Bay Center.)

Before Pensacon opened Friday, February 19, I went upstairs to take photos (from left to right) of booths on the main floor.

Doug's booth was on the main floor (see above photo, left/middle on the wall).

The fourth annual Pensacon will be February 17-19, 2017.
