Doug and I first met Lisa Bregent this spring at MegaCon in Orlando; we commented on her fantastic costumes and asked if she would be at Dragon*Con this year. The annual Atlanta convention gets a 10+ for costumes and fun - Lisa wouldn't miss it!
Months passed and we exchanged emails with Lisa, who has been hard at work coordinating a bunny costume party and raffle for the Annual Bunny Hutch Dragon*Con Kickoff Party, starting at 8:30 p.m. at the Pulse Lounge at the Marriott Marquis, one of 5 downtown Atlanta hotels hosting Dragon*Con activities.
There will be 10 winners in the Thursday evening, August 29th bunny costume contest - 3 place winners for best overall costume and 7 category costume awards, including theme, classic, sexy, funny, original concept, etc.
The first place prize is a signed Doug Sneyd classic 11 x 17 bunny limited edition print and black and white diamond pendant. Second place: an Allison Sohn original ink drawing of White Queen from the X-Men. Third place: large signed Todd Lockwood Blue Cloak print.
Each of the 10 bunny costume winners will also get a fantastic bunny bag!!!
Lisa has also coordinated a raffle; to enter, one must wear some type of bunny gear (T-shirt, earrings, pin, etc). There will be 12 raffle winners with first prize a Doug Sneyd 10 x 14 pencil profile sketch, done during the August 30-September 2 convention.
Raffle winners will be announced at 9:45 p.m. and costume winners at 10 p.m on August 29th.
