Doug Sketches Emily and Trina in Unpublished Sneyd

Emily (from Toronto) had Doug personalize her copy of Unpublished Sneyd for herself and her husband; it was her second time attending Fan Expo Canada.

While Doug was sketching Trina (from London, Ontario), she told him that it was her first time at Fan Expo Canada. Her husband works at The Comic Book Collector in London, Ontario.

Doug Does Commissioned Sketch of Black Widow for Pat's CAF Gallery Collection


Pat collects artwork of the popular superheroine Black Widow; he stopped by early on opening day of Fan Expo Canada, August 27-29, to have Doug do a commissioned sketch, which he's now posted on his CAF gallery.

11 x 17 Limited Edition Prints - New York Comic-Con Mini Print


Stop by Artist Alley on this final day of NYCC to check out Doug's 11 x 17 limited edition prints, 1-25, as well as his special souvenir convention mini print. Each features his classic style, familiar to Playboy readers since his first full-page color cartoon was published in the September 1964 issue.

Personalized Copies of Unpublished Sneyd and Preliminaries' Booklets Available at New York Comic-Con This Weekend


Doug will sign and personalize copies of his 52-page book Unpublished Sneyd, which features 100 of his favorite gag rough rejects.

Since his first Playboy cartoon was published in 1964, he's submitted thousands of gag roughs. Of course, not all can be selected for final art and ultimate publication in the magazine, but Unpublished Sneyd features some of his favorites - the best of the undiscovered Sneyds.

9 x 12 Pencil and Ink Sketches Available at New York Comic-Con October 8-10


Doug is among the Artist Alley exhibitors at the 3-day New York Comic-Con at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Friday and Saturday closing hours are 7 p.m. - NYCC closes Sunday, October 10, at 5 p.m.

In addition to Doug's 9 x 12 pencil and ink sketches, rendered on 100% cotton, 140 lb. Arches of France watercolor paper, fans of his Playboy artwork can also commission sketches during the 3-day show and purchase personalized copies of his 52-page book Unpublished Sneyd.

Fan Expo Canada 2010 Starts With Doug Doing Sketches for Greg and Diana

Greg (from Ottawa) attends Fan Expo Canada every year; Diana (from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan) was also an exhibitor this year. She stopped by early on opening day to have Doug do a classic Sneyd girl with bunny ears in her sketchbook.
