Each year Doug works on a 24-page convention booklet; recent artwork, like Redhead With Tobacco-brown Eyes, will be featured in Fabulous Faces.

The 9 x 12 watercolor is done on 100% cotton, 140 Lb. cold pressed Arches of France watercolor paper using Dr. Ph. Martin's aniline dyes.

Pencil Sketch for Mermaid Statue

C.S. Moore Studio collaborates with Doug on a statue of a mermaid.

Each 1/8 scale statue, based on a never-before-published Sneyd mermaid cartoon, will include a Certificate of Authenticity featuring the cartoon. Suitable for framing, the certificate will be signed by both Sneyd and Moore.

The statue is scheduled to ship in third quarter 2011.

Community Theatre Delivers Great Laughs With Neil Simon Comedy

Following the recent Saturday matinee performance of the Neil Simon comedy, Doug congratulated Seth Bowling for a fantastic performance and enjoyed meeting fellow cast members (from left) Trish Scarpuzzi, Meg Reed and Marsha Guyer. Seth played the part of Barney Cashman in the three-act play.

Seth is one of several knowledgeable, helpful librarians at the Orange Beach Library; he joined the staff there following a national tour of Les Miserables. He's in rehearsals now for the mid-March production of The Foreigner, which Doug and I also plan to attend.
