Lori and Dirk (from Milwaukee, Wisconsin) were in Chicago for the weekend to attend KBIS at McCormick Place.
They saw hundreds of people - some wearing costumes - walking down the main corridor past KBIS exhibits toward Lakeside Center (one of four convention buildings at McCormick Place) and decided to check out what was going on. They discovered C2E2, and since they'd never been to a comic-cartoon convention before, their curiosity brought them inside.
A personalized copy of Unpublished Sneyd should make a great souvenir of their C2E2 experience.

Doug Does Sketches for Justin and Carlene
Justin (from St. Louis, Missouri) wanted a classic Sneyd sketch of a girl-next-door beauty with bunny ears so he could have it framed.
Carlene (from Skokie, Illinois - about 30 minutes north of downtown Chicago) told Doug that her husband has been a long-time comic-cartoon collector, but buying a personalized copy of Doug's 52-page book, Unpublished Sneyd, was her first cartoon purchase.

Day 1 - C2E2 Features Chalk Artist Eric Maruscak
C2E2 featured a number of special attractions, including chalk artist Eric Maruscak (from Binghamton, New York).
Eric got started before the Friday 1 p.m. opening to the public, but the C2E2 program cover, done by artist Alex Ross, had a lot of intricate details. Eric did, however, finish the convention commission by mid-day Sunday, April 18.
