Dragon*Con: 4 Busy Days in Atlanta

Doug's pencil portraits, either 10 x 14 or 11 x 17 on Arches of France watercolor paper or art board, make great convention souvenirs.  Rose (from suburban Atlanta) had one commissioned opening day - Friday, August 30.

Matt (from Tuscaloosa, Alabama) purchased a 10 x 14 watercolor original from Doug's new collection; the work, although less stylized than what appears in Playboy, features a classic Sneyd lady with a vibrant background aniline dye wash.

Like Matt, Brian Stelfreeze, also a featured guest at Dragon*Con this year, purchased a 10 x 14 watercolor original from Doug's new collection.

Stelfreeze has worked for nearly every major American comic book publisher and is one of the original members of Atlanta's Gaijin Studios.

Commissions also kept Doug busy; Clay (from Knoxville, Tennessee) requested an ink sketch of Psylocke.

Sales of The Art of Doug Sneyd were strong during the 4 days of Dragon*Con.  Brian (from Salt Lake City, Utah) purchased a personalized copy of the 248-page hardcover book, published by Dark Horse Books.

The 2012 Eisner Award nominee in the Best Humor Publication category features 270 of Doug's 450+ Playboy cartoons.
