Original Artwork: Gorgeous Gals at the Beach for July 4-7 Miami Convention

Doug's 11 x 17 watercolor originals and limited edition prints of beautiful babes at the beach will be featured in Miami this coming weekend.  

As with his Playboy cartoons, he uses Arches of France acid-free art board and Dr. Ph. Martin's aniline dyes for his 11 x 17 watercolor originals.

The Art of Doug Sneyd Available at Florida SuperCon - Free Signing

Copies of Doug's 248-page book, The Art of Doug Sneyd, will be available during Florida SuperCon, July 4-7, at Past Present Future Comics & Gaming Superstore - check the convention program for booth location.
 
Doug will be happy to sign books for free; he also does commissioned sketches.  Jeremy had his book personalized at MegaCon in Orlando. 
 
The Art of Doug Sneyd, published by Dark Horse Books, was a 2012 Eisner Award nominee in the Best Humor Publication category.

Emily and April: Fan Expo Vancouver Portrait Sketches

Doug's portrait sketches are always popular with convention attendees; Emily was thrilled with her 10 x 14 artwork.

New Artwork Collection Available at Florida SuperCon

Doug's new collection of watercolor originals will be available at Florida SuperCon; he's a Featured Guest during the 4-day convention, July 4th through 7th. 

The 10 x 14 artwork, on Arches of France cold press watercolor paper using aniline dyes, is loose and colorful yet features classic Sneyd lovely ladies and vibrant background watercolor washes.

Since Doug's first Playboy cartoon (September 1964), he's had over 450+ published in the magazine; 270 of these are featured in the 248-page book, a 2012 Eisner Award nominee in the Best Humor Publication category.

Seattle Graphic Designer Enjoys Fan Expo Vancouver

While Doug did a 10 x 14 portrait sketch of Sarah at Fan Expo Vancouver (April 20-21), the two talked about her career as a graphic designer/illustrator and interest in designing costumes - she was dressed as Tribbles from Star Trek.
 


She came back the next day dressed as The Hand of the King brooch from Game of Thrones.

Jason Szabo, professional balloon artist, and his wife made my day when they stopped by Artist Alley and gave me custom-made bunny ears. 
 
Doug and I will see Jason again at the Florida SuperCon July 4-7 in Miami; Doug is a Featured Guest and Jason will be an exhibitor.

Commissions at MegaCon

In addition to selling original artwork, limited edition prints and sketchbooks at comics-cartoon conventions, Doug does commissions in both The Art of Doug Sneyd, published by Dark Horse Books and featuring 270 of his 450+ Playboy cartoons, and Unpublished Sneyd.  Attendees also have him do commissioned portrait sketches. 
 
Jaime (from Tampa, FL) thought her fiance Jonathan would enjoy a personalized copy of The Art of Doug Sneyd.
 


Doug also did a sketchbook cover commission for Chris during the 3-day Orlando convention.


Charley and Janine (from Winter Haven, FL) had Doug do a 16 x 20 double portrait commission.  For these, as well as his Playboy originals, Doug uses Arches of France cold press art board.
